History of City Cuisine

The City Cuisine Group is a full service catering and event planning company that has been serving the Los Angeles area since 1986. Owner and President, Janet S. Howe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, a two-year degree in Commercial Cooking and a Certificate of Catering. Specializing in ethnic cuisines, City Cuisine prides itself on its own original recipes.

Howe’s business background includes such companies such as Westin Hotels, Princess Cruises and A & M Records.

Her outstanding record of accomplishments include the Encino Chamber of Commerce. Beginning with the Taste of Encino, the Sane Fernando Valley’s largest and longest-running fine food and wine festical, this event flourished under her leadership. She served on the Chamber’s Board of Director’s for four years and is a past-president of the Encino Chamber of Commerce.

Janet Howe and City Cuisine have been affiliated with such charitable organizations as the Assistance League of Southern California, Valley League for Hathaway Children’s Services, the Wellness Community, Amnesty International, and the Chris Brownlie Hospice. Janet is also a current President of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE).
